Using The Wiper Wizard to Revive Your Wiper Blades

Replacing the wiper blades on your vehicle is not difficult, nor is it terribly expensive. However, if you live in a region of the country where your wipers take a beating each year, your replacement costs go up considerably. Wiper Wizard is a new product on the market that claims to revive your wiper blades, thus extending their life and viability. This step-by-step gives you the keys you need to use this new resource to the fullest, ensuring your vehicle is ready for any weather.

Directions

1

Pull Blades away from the Windshield

Pull the windshield wipers away from the windshield, hinging them up.

2

Check the Wiper Blades

Examine the blades of your wiper. The blades are the thin, wedge-shaped pieces of rubber that make contact with your windshield. Check for cracks or broken rubber at the tip. Another way to ascertain if your blades need reviving is if they streak during use. New or revived blades will sweep the water away without leaving streaks of water or cleaning fluid behind.

3

Clean the Blades

It is a good idea to remove any dirt or debris that might be attached to your blades. Use a moistened paper towel to loosen and remove these, as they could be deterrents to a successful revival of your wiper blades.

4

Fit the Wiper Wizard to the Blade

Just as with a knife sharpener and knife, you should fit the "V"-shaped side of the Wiper Wizard to the tip of the blade.

5

Move the Wiper Wizard Downward

Use a downward motion with the Wiper Wizard, keeping it in contact with the wiper blades.

6

Bring Back to the Top

Once you get to the end of the blade, bring the Wiper Wizard back up to the top and repeat the downward motion. Rather than go back and forth in a sawing motion, the loop motion (down and back to the top again) is more effective.

7

Repeat the Down Motion

The number of down and up loop motions you have to perform is based on the condition of your wiper blades. The more damaged the rubber, the more swipes you will need to do.

8

Wipe off Newly Sanded Blades

After the blades have been sanded and sharpened to your satisfaction, use the micro fiber cloths to wipe off any small, sanded material from your blades.

9

Clean the Wiper Wizard

Use the micro fiber cloths to quickly wipe the Wiper Wizard to prepare it for its next use.

10

Return Blades to their Position

Place the wiper blades back to their original position on your windshield.

While the Wiper Wizard will probably not make your wipers perform as they did when they were brand new, they will definitely show an improvement in your blades’ performance. The Wiper Wizard is small enough to fit into your glove compartment for use when an unexpected storm arises. It is also a good idea to use it periodically, to ensure they are working at their peak. This little car maintenance helper is very reasonably priced and makes effective use and longevity of your wiper blades.
